Okowa’s Aide In Police Dragnet Over Document Forgery

One of Delta State governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa’s Commissioner (name withheld) is presently at the police command over document forgery allegation.

It was gathered that the Commissioner forged documents to obtain contract from the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) but luck ran out on him.

Our source said the aide is in the company of another very close aide to the governor (name withheld) at the command giving statements to the police.

When our correspondent visited the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Celestina Kalu, to get details, the image maker said, “I have not received any information to that effect”.

The aide is one among millions of government officials whom contracts are awarded to without completion or does shoddy jobs after collecting money.

Efforts to get the sides of the state government and DESOPADEC on the matter proved abortive.
