Fayose Reconciles With Tope Aluko

BEVERLY HILLS, April 04, (THEWILL) – Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose has reconciled with his estranged ally, Dr. Tope Aluko, former Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state who was at war with with him.

Aluko had on live TV revealed how the Ekiti election was rigged in favour of Fayose because the Governor did not fulfil his promise of appointing him Chief of Staff.

Speaking on Channel's TV Program, Sunday Politics, Aluko had described how Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and Musiliu Obanikoro allegedly spent $37m to rig Fayose into office as Ekiti Governor.

However, in a dramatic twist, Aluko who is said to be in contempt of court having 'lied on oath' was seen in a video on Monday, standing beside Fayose, answering questions asked by journalists saying he no longer has any problem with Fayose.

Fayose asked journalists in the video that if he leaves Aluko to the whole world, who would be there for him.

“I am his father, I am his brother, whatever the past has held for all of us, I am still his father,” Fayose said.

Asked if he has forgiven Aluko, Fayose said, “Whether you are talking of forgiveness, Aluko remains my son, my boy… whatever he has said, it is time to move forward.”

Aluko also journalists that everything was behind now.

“This is about peace, this is about misunderstanding, this is about talking together, this is about family coming in, this is about well-meaning Nigerians coming in and that's what we have achieved,” Aluko said.
