On the HR/VP Federica Mogherini's phone's conversation with Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Al Sarraj and UN Special Representative for Libya, Martin Kobler

Today the HRVP Federica Mogherini spoke with the Libyan Prime Minister Fayez Al Sarraj and the UNSRSG for Libya, Martin Kobler. They discussed the recent encouraging developments in the country and the support that the EU can provide for the next steps in the implementation of the Libya Political Agreement.

The HRVP congratulated Prime Minister Sarraj on his and the Presidency Council's move to Tripoli and she reaffirmed the EU's full commitment to assist with the transition on the basis of Libyan defined priorities.

Libyan ownership of the political process was also underlined as was the need for continued inclusiveness so as to further build support among all Libyans.

They agreed to continue to work together in the coming days and weeks.
