Information Minister Lauds Adamawa Govt Over Projects

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister for Information has lauded Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla of Adamawa for embarking on people oriented projects.

Mohammed made the commendation in Yola after inspecting some completed and ongoing projects in the state capital.

"I am actually dazed because I have been taken round various road projects; I became more impressed given the fact that many states are complaining about lack of funds making me wonder where does Adamawa governor gets his money to embark on these very ambitious projects." Mohammed said.

Mohammed said governor Jibrilla most have used his business acumen and political will to embarked on such projects, adding that the projects which has opened up new areas in the state have started impacting positively on the state economy.

Mohammed urged governors not to solely relied on monthly allocation but to think out of the box for alternative source of revenue to meet their campaign promises.

He said present government at all levels were facing challenges of cash crunch but since they were not elected to give excuses, the have no option but find ways of utilizing the little resources available through prudent management.

He said federal government was also committed on diversifying the economy and was looking towards agriculture, adding that states like Adamawa which has different vegetation and could grow all types of crops would be assisted by federal government in its moves to boost agriculture and exploit other mineral resources that has remain untapped over the years.
