Middle East Update: Former Nigerian High Commissioner To Pakistan, Amb. Dauda Danladi, Mni, Felicitates Incumbent President,(Fpcci), Federation Of Pakistan Chambers Of Commerce & Industry, Mr. Abdul Rauf Alam

Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Dauda Danladi, MNI has felicitated from the core of his heart Mr. Abdul Rauf Alam on assuming the high level responsibilities of Incumbent President (FPCCI) Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, who is also Life Member of SAARC(South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation and Honorary Consul of Union of the Comoros).

In a Congratulatory Letter to the Incumbent President (FPCCI) Mr. Abdul Rauf Alam, Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Dauda Danladi, MNI, said , “Federal Republic of Nigeria and Pakistan have vast opportunities of Economic Cooperation in the areas of Agriculture Research, Agricultural Tractors and Machinery, Sports Goods, Leather Products, Pharmaceuticals, Rice Products, Surgical Equipments and most importantly Textile Industry”.

Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Dauda Danladi, MNI, said that over the years Pakistan and Nigeria have established a friendly and cooperative relationship based on Economic Diplomacy and urged the Incumbent President, FPCCI, Mr. Abdul Rauf Alam to visit Federal Republic of Nigeria to further explore and strengthen the trade linkages between Pakistan and Nigeria.

He said, “There are a number of Pakistani businesses operating in Nigeria and there are Nigerian businesses operating in Pakistan. According to him, the governments of Nigeria and Pakistan will create the enabling environment for businessmen and the private sector of both countries to exploit the huge trade and investment opportunities to push the trade volume between Nigeria and Pakistan to, at least, $ 10 billion within the next five years.

Pakistani Business Community termed Amb. Dauda Danlad, MNI’s Diplomatic Tenure (2012-2015) as the “Golden Chapter of Pakistan-Nigeria Trade Relations” as great developments occurred and the bilateral trade between two countries jumped from US $ 80 Million to US $ 500 Million.

The credit of the State Visit of Pakistani President, Mamnoon Hussain along with High Powered 70-Men Trade Delegation in June, 2014 to Federal Republic of Nigeria goes to the personal efforts of Amb. Dauda Danladi, Mni. This State Visit of Pakistani President to Nigeria resulted in the signing of various Agreements/ MOUs in the areas of Combating the Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics Drugs; Agriculture Co-operation, Industrial Co-operation and establishment of Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

During his State Visit to Federal Republic of Nigeria, Pakistani President, Mamnoon Hussain also inaugurated a Commercial Section in Lagos that gave a new impetus to the trade relations between Pakistan and Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Earlier, Former Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Amb. Dauda Danladi, MNI visited Islamabad Chamber, KPK Chamber, Gujrawala Chamber, Lahore Chamber, Faisalabad Chamber, Sialkot Chamer, Karachi Chamber of Commerece and Industry besides visiting a galaxy of Industrial Units in Punjab Province and Sindh Province and later took a huge Trade Delegation of Pakistani Industrialists to Nigeria that opened a new window of Business-2-Business Relations between Pakistan and Federal Republic of Nigeria.
