We are Gradually Fulfilling our Campaign Promises Says Hon.Orji
The Federal House of Representative member and Chairman House Committee on Diaspora representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency, Hon.Rita Orji, recently toured the 11 wards to celebrate the Easter celebration while sharing bags of rice,beans,soap,semovita,wrappers,tomatoes and other food items to the masses.
Speaking with media executives that monitored the event, Barr.Rita said, this is not PDP or APC affairs but to appreciate the masses that voted for us last year. I told them while campaigning that I would always come back to feed them on constituency projects and to make my leadership visible to Ajeromi-Ifelodun people.
She added that coming to the masses street by street and ward by ward to show my full commitment to grassroots leadership. You never voted for me to stay Abuja but to represent your interest at the Federal House of Representatives. I don’t want to give any party leader to distribute these food items but I want to do it personally so that it can get to the masses equally. It is not only PDP that voted for me into power but the masses, so I cannot ignore you to pursue only party politics.
This is not about stomach infrastructure promises but to let you all know that you all voted for me because you want to see your representative physically not on election time. We are also training over 800 people on different skills acquisitions in Ajegunle which will run for 6months and we shall equipped all our trainees to the core. Other campaign promises will be fulfilled in due time in spite of the economic challenges in Nigeria. It is the people I am representing not myself. We shall be giving 30 Maruwas and 30 Okadas to people as part to create jobs in our constituency, she said.
Hon.Fatai Oluwa,the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ajeromi-Ifelodun constituency 1,said,this Easter celebration is not party affairs but to fulfill our campaign promises to the people. Apart from these food items being shared from street to street and ward to ward, we are also training people in different skills acquisitions and soonest we shall unveil some of our campaign promises to the people, he said.
