Former President of the Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP), Khalifa Babs, also praised the “Diplomatic Expertise of Outgoing Acting Nigerian High Commissioner to Pakistan/Grand Patron, Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan, Ambassador Abdul Lateef Oyede and said that Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan fully supports Pakistan Nigeria High Commission’s decision for the establishment of Pakistan- Nigeria Trade Forum to meet the socio-economic needs of both countries.

Khalifa Babs further added that the entire Yoruba Community in Pakistan is contemplating formation of “In-House Pakistan-Nigeria Trade Body” which will co-ordinate with the Pakistan Business Community of Islamabad Chamber, Lahore Chamber, Gujranwala Chamber, Faisalabad Chamber, Sialkot Chamber and Karachi Chamber including Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) to explore the opportunities of Trade and Commerce between the host country, Pakistan and fatherland Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He said that the proposal is under active consideration by the entire Yoruba Business Community in Pakistan to step forward and move forward with Pakistan Nigeria High Commission to accelerate the process of enhancing trade ties between Pakistan and Nigeria.

Former President (YCNP), Khalifa Babs also highlighted that Pakistan Nigeria High Commission has done a great job of multiplying Trade in various areas such as Textile, Agriculture, Surgical Equipments, Sports Goods and Pharmaceutical products from Pakistan to Nigeria.

On this occasion, Chief Kayode.O.Johnson (Onigege Ara of YCNP)/Secretary General (YCNP) pointed out that the Diplomatic Staff at Pakistan Nigeria High Commission is taking personal pain to enhance Trade Linkages between Pakistan and Nigeria.

He said ,”Federal Republic of Nigeria has a large population which is a very big and potential market for its produced in the country as Federal Republic of Nigeria is the emerging hub to the whole of West Africa”.

He added that Pakistani Businessmen and Industrialists can take benefit of Nigeria High Commission, Pakistan’s Standard Free Zone Incentives such as 100% Exemption from Commercial Levies, 100% Repatriation of Capital and Profits, 100% Company Ownership, No Quotas for Expatriate Employees, No Corporate Taxes, No Withholding Taxes, No Levies, No Import Export Licenses Required, Payments in Foreign Currency and Immigration Fast Track Procedure.
