The Director, National Orientation Agency, (NOA) Kano State directorate tasks the media

The Director, National Orientation Agency, (NOA) Kano State directorate, Alh. Mohammed Bashir Ali has urged media organizations to create platforms where citizens can be mobilized for meaningful contributions to national development.

Mohammed said that for citizens to effectively participate and meaningfully contribute to national development at this moment of our national experience, the Nigerian media should help in changing the attitude of the people on the security, economy and social challenges facing the country.

A statement by NOA information officer, OLAYINKA S. OLAWORE, commended the print and electronic media for standing firm and bridging the information gap between the people and the government about current happenings in the country, adding that it has also not relented in setting agenda for NOA in upholding national ethics.

It described the media as a brand that maintains the ethics of fairness and balance in news reporting thereby creating the picture of how we ought to do the right things as citizens and making the media a responsible and trustworthy medium.
