The Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, Ibrahim Galadima, stated that restated the state government’s resolve to develop sports at the grassroots level.

Galadima, after inspecting sports facilities in the state, said government would continue to provide an enabling environment for the discovery and development of talents in the state’s rural areas.

The commission has representatives from the three Senatorial districts in the state, and they will assist and work out strategies which will help to grow talents from the local government areas.

The idea is to bring sports to the people. We have to fish out talents from all the localities and bring them for further grooming at the center.

The state is endowed with abundant talents which, if properly harnessed, can produce sports men and women of international repute, he said.

The former Chairman of the defunct Nigeria Football Association NFA urged parents to encourage their children to participate in sports.
