Nigerian Ports Authority to strengthen ties with Kano chamber

The Nigerian Ports Authority NPA has said it would post at least one officer to man the office donated to it by the Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture recently.

The Managing Director of the NPA Malam Habib Abdullahi, who made this disclosure said the gesture would warrant the posting of NPA staff to any commerce chamber that requested for its personnel.

He commended the strategic role played by Kano indigenes in the concessioned ports industry as represented by Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chairman of Greenview Development Nigerian Limited GDNL and Alhaji Abdussamad Isyaku Rabiu of BUA Industries Limited.

Earlier, speaking the president of Kano State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Malam Umar Farouk RabiuDansuleka had requested that NPA built a permanent pavilion at the Kano State Trade Fair ground, adding that it was providing an office for the NPA at its secretariat to promote ports business.
