Statement attributable to the Spokesperson for the Secretary-General on the attacks in Ben Guerdane, Tunisia

The Secretary-General condemns the terrorist attacks carried out today on police and army posts in the town of Ben Guerdane, Tunisia. He expresses his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the people and Government of Tunisia and wishes a speedy recovery to those injured.

The Secretary-General reiterates the commitment of the United Nations to stand with the people of Tunisia as they confront the scourge of terrorism and work to preserve the gains of the revolution. New York, 7 March 2016
