Gov. Ugwuanyi delivers dividends of democracy through aggressive road construction

The Enugu State Government says its massive construction of roads is intended to link communities and local government areas for rapid development of the state.

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi made the assertion during the unscheduled inspection of some of the link road projects embarked upon by his administration particularly those at 9th Mile Corner, Ngwo, Amankwo-Eke Odudo-Ameke Ama brewery roads.

Other roads he inspected are Opi- Nsukka dual carriage road, Echara-Ogurugu road as well as Orba road.

He explained that the kind gesture was in line with the campaign promises to the people to make democracy dividends available to them without hitches.

Addressing the people at two separate points in Ogurugu and Enugu roads, both in Nsukka Local Government Council, Governor Ugwuanyi noted that government objectives can only be achieved through constant prayers, active participation and support of the people in all governmental affairs and programmes.

According to the governor, Enugu State Government has earmarked the sum of one hundred million naira to develop each of the seventeen Local Government Councils of the state in order to facilitate its grass-root development projects designed to uplift the living standard of the people.

In appreciation, some of the people of the area commended Governor Ugwuanyi for his human oriented development strides put in place to better the lots of Enugu citizens.

They noted that the administrative projects and policies of the government would go a long way to open up hidden businesses in order to attract local and foreign investors to the state.
