Nigerian Muslim Forum in UK donates to Unimaid

Nigerian muslim forum in the United Kingdom has donated medical books and Journals to the University of Maiduguri to assist Medical students and practioners in their research and general persuit of knowledge.

The donation which was done through Mohammed Bashir Shuwa a Trustee of the Forum at the office of the Deputy

Vice Chancellor Academics , Professor Haruna Godowoli.

Speaking at the occasion Mohammed Bashir Shuwa said that Nigerian Muslims in the UK have made several donations of drugs to the Internally Displaced Persons ( IDPs) through the Suoport for Wifow , Orphans and Tsangaya (SWOT ) Foundation and other bodies that cater for the needy.

The Trustee also stated that Medical practioners and Students have made donations of these books and Journals which are very costly and not easily accessable to other institutions of learning across the country and expressed the hope that more of such donations will be made in the future.

Responding while recieving the books donated Professor Haruna Godowoli expressed the gratitude of the University of Maiduguri stressing"this is the best thing that has happened to the University this week".

He said that as a former student in the United Kingdom he knows what it means to make this great sacrifice of such valuable books which are very costly and not easily accessable to Nigerian students.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor also said that he was looking foward to recieving more of such assistance pointing out that the donations is a great testimony to the concern which Nigerian Muslims in the UK has for their brothers at home.
