BEVERLY HILLS, March 03, (THEWILL) – The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Kogi State has lambasted the one-month-old administration of Governor Yahaya Bello of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as a knee-jack to governance which had put the state on the path of retrogression.

The party then warned that Kogi State will collapse in no distance time if the present administration does not tamper its current cluelessness, poor policy formulation and obvious exuberant tendencies.

Addressing newsmen in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, on Wednesday, Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Prince Bode Ogunmola alleged that the first public action of the governor immediately he took the mantle of leadership was the arbitrary blockage of a section of Government House Road, converting same to a single road to protect his private residence adjacent to the Government House.

He condemned “arbitrary blockage” of a section of the Government House road in Lokoja, and converting same to a single lane, subjecting many road users to hardships.

As regards the demolition of some roundabouts in Lokoja, he accused the Governor of acting on advice of some 'marabouts', warning that, “Bello should focus on providing purposeful leadership and leave voodooism to occultic practitioners.”

“No state can move forward if its leaders are held back by ancient, unscientific and diabolical practices,” he stated.

The opposition party further knocked Governor Bello for reversing all appointments and promotions carried out by his predecessor, Idris Wada and the directive that some top civil servants proceed on compulsory leave.
