Obiano Commissions NeniMkpuota -Adazi-Ani Road

The Governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano has commissioned the Neni-Mkpuota-Adazi-Ani Road in Aniocha Local Government Area of the state. The 1.3km road is one of several roads which the Obiano administration started from inception and completed in the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone in less than two years even with prevailing economic recession in the country.

Speaking at a brief ceremony to mark the opening of the road to commuters, Governor Obiano expressed delight in successful completion of the road, saying "I am happy to be commissioning this all important road which is slightly 1.3km. Despite the crunch in the economy, we are paying salaries and doing more in infrastructural development".

The governor thanked some public spirited Ndi Anambra who assist government in various infrastructural development urging them to continue and not relent describing it as the way to go. He also commended Pa-ChuksConstruction Company for a job well done.

The honourable commissioner for works, Chief Law Chinwuba in his remarks disclosed that it should be on record that Governor Obiano mobilized the funds for the road which was flagged-off during his electioneering campaign.

He thankedTonimas and Eyiuche who single-handedly constructed 16km and 2km roads respectively in the area for heeding to the governor's call on Ndi Anambra to join hands with the government in developing the state. He further urged the people of the state to find ways to partner with the state government. Chief Chinwuba assured the governor and the people of Anaocha of the durability of the road.

Earlier in his remarks, the Transition Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Area, Hon. Ikeobi Ejiofor recalled that the governor promised during the flag-off of the road to complete the road in one year. He thanked the governor for living up to his words, promising the governor of the support of the people of the council area.
