BEVERLY HILLS, March 01, (THEWILL) – The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has rescheduled the meetings of the National Caucus, Board of Trustees (BOT) and the National Executive Committee (NEC).

In a statement released on Tuesday and signed by Chief Olisa Metuh, National Publicity Secretary, the party announced the shift but did not state any reason for the action.

“The National Caucus meeting has been rescheduled for Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 7pm. The Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting will now hold on Monday, March 7th 2016 at 11am, while the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting holds at 2pm on the same Monday March 7th, 2016,” the statement by Metuh read.

“The leadership of the Party deeply regrets any inconveniences that may be caused by this adjustment.”

Sources believe the shift may be connected to the crises brewing in the party over the appointment of the new PDP Chairman, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff which has led to controversy between the Board of Trustees, Governors Forum, Legislators Caucus, former ministers and stakeholders.
