Port Harcourt Goes Agog As PDP Celebrates Supreme Court Gov’ship Victory

All is now set for the celebration of the historic January 27, 2016 Supreme Court judgement that upturned the nullification of Gov Nyesom Wike’s election by both the Rivers State Gov’ship petitions Tribunal and Appeal Court sitting in Abuja respectively.

The famous Yakubu Gowon Stadium (former Liberation Stadium) Elekahia, venue of the victory celebration and its environs now wear a new look as part of preparations for the epoch-making event which holds Saturday, February 27.

Highlighting the events and reason that necessitate the Supreme Court victory celebration, the State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah said the party has lined up a number of activities to mark the occasion. Preceding the great event according to the State PDP boss, Bro Obuah, is a thanksgiving Service which sermon will be delivered by the founder and presiding Pastor of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie.

The State Governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike as Chief celebrant will lead other State Governors, National and State Assembly PDP members, National and State leaders of the PDP to the event which is also expected to be graced by religious leaders, captains of Industries, Royal Fathers and traditional leaders as well as other prominent members of the society.

The State PDP chairman, Bro Obuah therefore enjoins all Rivers people, PDP members and supporters across the State as well as friends and well-wishers of Gov Nyesom Wike to attend and join celebrate the party’s last battle that really counts, stressing that the harder the fight, the sweeter the victory.
