Brutal: Woman Slaughtered With Her 4 Children In Kebbi

BEVERLY HILLS, February 22, (THEWILL) – Residents in Kebbi state are shocked as they woke up on Monday to discover that a brutal murder has occurred in the state.

The wife and four children of a former Chairman of the Traders Union of Birnin Kebbi central market, Dandare Maibulawus, were slaughtered in the early hours of Monday in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

According to reports, Mr. Maibulawus is away on a business trip to Cotonuo, Benin Republic but has been contacted over the incident.

Neighbors revealed that assailants stormed the residence located at Bayan Kara', in Birnin Kebbi, before the morning prayers and committed the killings.

The state commissioner of police, Yakubu Jibril, while confirming the incident appealed to residents of the area to assist the police with credible information that would lead to the arrest of the assailants.

He also called them to report any suspicious movement of persons around the area.

The State Governor, Atiku Bagudu, expressed dismay over the killing, when he paid a condolence visit to the family, assuring that the security agencies would do their best to fish out the killers.

He described the killings as “sad, bad and a dastardly act”, and urged the security agents to intensify investigation and search for the suspects.
