Inec Declares Mark Winner Of Benue South Senatorial Re-run Poll


SAN FRANCISCO, February 21, (THEWILL) – Former Senate President, Senator David Mark of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Benue South Senatorial rerun election with 84, 192 votes, according to results declared Sunday morning by Professor Isiaka Eneji, the returning officer for the poll.

His main rival, Mr. Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 71, 621 votes in Saturday's election.

A further breakdown of the poll results as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) saw Mark winning in 5 of the 9 local governments in the district while Onjeh won in four.
