Fire Outbreak In Singer Market Kano

Properties worth millions of naira were destroyed as fire gutted the famous Kano Singer market this morning.

The fire started around 3am and in a short time it spread to various shops destroying provision items worth millions of naira.

When THE NIGERIAN VOICE visited the scene of the disaster, men of the fire service were battling with the fire in their efforts to put it off.

Security was also beefed up around the market to stop looters from looting properties of the affected traders.

Police, civil defense and vigilante personnel were deployed to the market.
