Police Nabs Four Armed Robbery Suspects in Delta

The police in Delta State has apprehended four persons suspected to be armed robbery suspects in various locations in Warri axis of the state, “SARS patrol team based in Warri while on routine patrol along Jakpa road, flagged down a tricycle with four occupants, later identified as one Isaiah Etadefe, Happy Ege, Saifllasi Mansur and one Collins Otone”, were subsequently arrested, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Celestina Kalu has said.

DSP Kalu said when a search was conducted on them by the police weapons and live cartridges while a wrap of hard drug suspected to be Indian Hemp were seized from them, “upon a search conducted on the suspects, one locally made pistol with two live cartridge, one dagger knife, a wrap of weed suspected to be Indian Hemp were recovered from them”.

In another development, the police image maker stated that following a tip-off that armed robbers were operating at Enerhen villages, a patrol team from Enerhen Division was despatched to the scene and arrested one Emmanuel Agodota while others escaped.

In same vein, she said, the Policemen attached to Ekpan Division on patrol along Refinery road Ekpan, intercepted one tricycle without registration number with three male occupants, noting “the hoodlums on sighting the patrol team jumped out of the said Tricycle and fled into the bush, abandoning the tricycle”.

Items recovered included two locally made Pistol and three live cartridges, two tricycles which is suspected to be stolen and a hand bag belonging to a woman.

She assured that efforts are being made to apprehend the fleeing suspects while investigation and interrogation are ongoing on the arrested suspects.
