By The Citizen

The Senate yesterday extended the time allotted to Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) to defend their budgets before its standing committees by one week.

As a result of the extension, the Senate adjourned plenary till Tuesday next week.

This was even as the Office of the Surveyor-General of the Federation (OSGN), disowned the N1 billion in the 2016 budget profile allocated to it by the Federal Ministry of Works.

The decision to extend the budget defence sessions and suspend plenary was arrived at after Senators held an executive session at the resumption of plenary . The Guardian.
