Gov. Ugwuanyi restates committment to people's welfare

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has reassured the people of the state of his administration’s commitment to deliver on his campaign promises by providing physical infrastructure and other people-oriented programmes that would impact positively on their lives.

The governor who gave the assurance in Nsukka town while inspecting the on-going road projects in the state told the elated crowd that sponteanosly gathered to hail him during the inspection, that he personally embarked on the unscheduled visits to all the sites to see things for himself and feel the impulse of the people on how the contractors have been performing.

Gov. Ugwuanyi after listening to the assessment made by residents of the area over the state of work assured them that he will take necessary action to ensure that quality work is delivered.

He urged the people to continue to offer special prayers for positive improvement in the nation’s economy for his administration to do more, assuring them that the roads will be completed within the stipulated period agreed with the contractors.

Earlier in his remark, the traditional ruler of Obimo community in Nsukka Local Government Area, Chief Spencer Ugwoke, who was on ground to welcome the governor, commended him for his kind gesture to visit the sites to see things for himself and make objective assessment of the progress report on the road projects.

He described the governor as a visionary leader who has the interest of the people at heart and assured him of the people’s prayers and support towards the success of his administration.

Other sites visited by the governor include, the Nike Lake road project, Amankwo- Amaeke-NBL junction bypass road project, Udenu ring road, Amaeke-Nsude- 9th mile bypass, Opi-Nsukka dual carriage road project, among others.
