Gov. Bindow To Empower 13,000 Youths To Be Self Reliant

Governor Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow of Adamawa state has reiterated his commitment to eradicating poverty in the state, as he promised to empower over thirteen thousand (13,000) women and youth to be self reliance with a first phase of micro-credit program as part of its effort to reduce the level of poverty across the state.

State Commissioner of Information Alhaji Ahmed Sajoh who disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in yola said, the concept of governance of Governor Umar Jibrilla’s administration is predicated for Bindow for social change and has four components.

Ahmed Sajoh maintained that, a team has been set-up that will embark on advocacy visit to the two hundred and twenty six wards in the twenty one local government areas of the state with a view to create awareness to the public on the process of securing the loan, while he called on people in the state to engage into a productive venture to be able to add value to the program.

The Commissioner however, explained that the state government will embark on training of staff of the state’s own Media, Public Relations Officers as well as other media personals in the state to improve their professionalism.
