SARAKI INAUGURATES NEW GOVT OFFICIALS

Kwara State Governor Bukola Saraki on Wednesday inaugurated new officials to run some ministries recently affected by a minor cabinet reshuffle.

Saraki warned the newly appointed members of the State Executive Council and permanent secretaries to handle their duties with seriousness.

Those inaugurated were the Secretary to the State Government,Chief of Staff and Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.Others were a special adviser and seven permanent secretaries.

The governor urged the new officials to strive hard to improve the lives of the people, as the administration's tenure was coming to an end.

He said,'I urge the new SSG to take the lead by providing necessary direction to aid the art of governance and increase the tempo of distribution of the dividends of democracy to all and sundry.

'At this critical period of our political history, we must not be seen to be toying with the future of the people. Instead, we must strive hard to improve their living condition. The permanent secretaries must, as a matter of necessity, provide the required direction in their various ministries to facilitate the effective implementation of government policies and programmes for the benefit of all and sundry.'
