Gone Too Soon? World’s Oldest Man Is Dead

SAN FRANCISCO, January 19, (THEWILL) – Yasutaro Koide, a Japanese officially recognized as the oldest living man by Guinness World Records is dead.

Koide, aged 112 years, died from chronic heart failure after he was hospitalized in the central city of Nagoya, Japan.

According to reports, he is as old as the aeroplane because he was born in 1903, the year the Wright Brothers built the first successful aeroplane.

He worked as tailor in the western Japanese city of Tsuruga.

Japan has been described as one of the world's top countries for longevity as the number of centenarians surpassed 60,000 for the first time in 2015.
