Statement by the High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini on the announcement of members of new Libyan unity government

The announcement of the agreement on the Ministerial posts in the Government of National Accord by the Presidency Council is an important decision. This result, under the leadership of designated Prime Minister Serraj, is an essential step in the implementation of the Libya Political Agreement.

It is now for the House of Representatives and its Presidency to show the same spirit of compromise and sense of leadership, and promptly convene to endorse the proposed Cabinet, as established in the Political Agreement.
