Lamido Sympathizes With Yola Traders Over Inferno

The premier leaders of Tapila pilaku international,the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha has enjoined traders to inferno that engulfed yola Traditional Market where billions of naira were lost.

He made the call during his visit to the scene wherehe symphatized with thousands of traders who lost their goods as a result of the incident, which according to him was the act of God.

Dr. Barkindo Mustapha also called on people to be God fearing in all their deeds and urged traders to take the incident as an examination by ALLAH.

In an interview, Head of Service Yola South Local Government Comrade Muhammad Chibado said, an assesment Commitee has been inaugurated to find the remote causes of the overnight inferno, pointing out that the local government cannot quantified the extend of damage but the destruction has affected over 85 per cent of the market.

Some traders who spoke to our Correspondent, Malam Amadu and his brother who took over the business after the death of their father said, they lost 7 stores of different goods while Madam Hajaratu Bulus explained that, she bought her shop three week back at the sum of 500,000 and she lost goods of over one million naira.
