Adamawa State's Budget Will Also Be Geared Toward Rehabilitation Of Insurgency Affected Areas..Says Commissioners Of Finance

As insurgents destroyed houses, hospitals, schools and other government’s property in the north east, Adamawa state Government says it will embark on massive rehabilitation across the state.

State Commissioner of Finance, Mahmood Sali Yunusa who disclosed this at a Press Briefing on budget breakdown held in Government House Yola said, the government will execute its projects with the remittances of looted fund refunded to the Economic and Financial Crimes (EFCC), from corrupt public officials in the state to balance its 44.8 billion naira deficit.

Mahmood Sali Yunusa explained that, the concept of National Budget for the 2016 is formulated on the National perspective plan of vision 20-2020, which he said is also predicated on the sustainable Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s) that will enhance the rapid socio economic growth of the nation.

He stated that, in view of this, the 2016 budget, Adamawa state proposed budget tagged “BUDGET OF SOCIAL CHANGE” is also being articulated on the above laudable policy objective in order to consolidate the policy objectives of the present administration towards economic transformation of the state within the fiscal year.

On the ministerial allocations, the Commissioner stated that, Government House has over 8 billion naira, office of the Secretary to the State Government 7.7 billion while ministry of Agriculture and natural Resources gulp 1.6 billion as well education got 4.7 billion naira respectively.

Others icludes, ministry of Justice has 700 billion and ministry of Health that got 5.6 billion while the ministry of works has over 20 billion all in the propsed budget of 120 billion naira that was presented to the state House of Assembly by the state Governor Umar Jibrilla for final approval.
