Deputy Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State has expressed confidence that his party will reclaim all the National Assembly seats in the re-run election, expected to be conducted anytime soon by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in the state.

The state PDP  deputy chairman, Pastor Mowan Etete, who doubles as the Special Adviser to Governor Nyesom Wike on Political Matters, spoke while fielding questions from newsmen on the fate of the party in the rerun polls.

Etete said that it was evident that the PDP would win all the seats annulled by the Appeal Court, adding that the party has an over-whelming support which Governor Wike also enjoys.

Etete assured that with the efforts made so far by the governor in the areas of infrastructure and security, the election in the state would be violence-free.

Etete said: 'I see no reason why we will not win back the Assembly seats at the poll. If election is all about the people, we will win better now than before. Wike is providing quality services that Rotimi Amaechi did not provide in his time. If you look at the allocation that came in Amaechi's time and compare that to what is coming in now, you will only see that Wike has surpassed Amaechi by far in just six months in terms of service delivery.

'No intimidation will deter the people from voting for the PDP. Bayelsans are not as resolute as Rivers people. But they are able to vote their minds. We are a more resolute people, so no intimidation will deter us.'
