I Dumped Nyako Because Of Atiku's N.5b And I Don't Have Any Regret—Gov Bindow

Governor Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow has given insight why he dumped Nyako whose political structure he was alleged to have used to win the governorship election.

According to him he has no regret of doing that considering the financial support he received from Atiku to win the last election.

Mr Jibrila made the disclosure when he played host to Jimeta indigenes at government house yesterday, according to the governor " l shifted loyalty to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar,because of the N.5b he gave to support my governorship campaign".

Adding that " during the campaign Nyako and his son Abdulazziz were in London , i have no regret over my discission".

Mr. Bindow as he is popularly called accused some powerful politicians in the state 7 of attempting to smear his image because he refused to do their bidding.

"A part from the money from the headquarters, nobody gave me Ten naira during the campaign, the former VP asked me if we had any financial problem, I called the then party state secretary, Abdullahi Bakari who wrote and put our campaign demand at N300 million to Mr. Atiku Abubakar"

"It was after the submission that that Atiku sent me half a billion naira. through Jauro to me " the governor stated.

Also confirming the governor"s claim , the Chief of Staff to the governor, Mr. Abdulrham Abba who was part of the delegate said "when you have two enemies ,you join one to fight the other so what the governor did was right".

"We are working with Atiku because we believed in him and his political ideology "

When contacted on the issues , Mr Mijinyawa Kugama one of Nyako's close political allied said they will react on a latter date.

"We will react on a later date"
