The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Delta State Chapter receive with rude shock the demise of the amiable and loving mother of the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mrs Alice Emefiele.

State leader of the party, Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) in a condolence message signed by Director of Media, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe said it is always painful to lose one's mother; no matter the age because of the strong bond of love between a good mother and her loved children.

He urged the CBN Governor to take the departure of his mother with a pitch of the salt, knowing fully well that death is an inevitable end for all mortals no matter the societal, professional or spiritual status.

Emerhor pray God to grant the deceased eternal rest while commending the enviable and successful life of Emefiele's matriarch, being a proud mother of a highly successful banker, world class technocrat and helmsman of the nation's apex bank.

The party chieftain and 2015 governorship candidate said APC Delta mourns late Mrs Alice Emefiele who by all standard was Amazon of uncommon virtues, community woman leader and a role model for young female folks aspiring to greater heights in life.

The CBN Governor's mother gave up the ghost on Christmas day, December 25th at a ripe age of 94 years.
