Iconic Bahamian Resort Raises the Bar for Ultra-Luxury in the Caribbean
Long recognised as one of the world’s most exclusive resorts, the iconic One&OnlyOcean Club is proud to unveil completed resort-wide enhancements that further raise the bar on ultra-luxury in the Caribbean. During the multi-million dollar, five-month renovation, guest rooms and suites in the historic Hartford Wing were expanded and given a complete re-design. Additionally, the resort is introducing the ultimate beachfront experience with a new infinity-edge Ocean Pool and Ocean Pool Grill.
The extensive renovation, a collaboration with world-class design consultants HKS Architects (HKS) and Jeffrey Beers International (JBI), showcases a commitment to detail and quality and highlights the magnificent views and surroundings of the resort. The “new” Hartford Wing blends the glamorous ambience and exclusivity of the grand colonial manor in the most alluring beachfront hideaway in the Caribbean.

The Hartford Wing
Once the private estate of A&P heir Huntington Hartford II, the aptly named Hartford Wing was fully renovated, with guest rooms and suites increasing by 110-square-feet, offering expansive terraces or balconies, and providing views of the ocean and lush resort gardens—a first in the resort’s more than 53 years of welcoming guests. Each of the Wing’s 52 guest rooms and suites also received new, custom-designed furnishings, fabrics and colour schemes that amplify the distinctive palette of The Bahamas from cerulean blues to aquamarine and the bleached white of Bahamian sand.
The bathrooms have been transformed with the addition of Whitewood, as well as Bianco Dolomiti, and separate bath and rain showers, and double vanities. The Hartford Courtyard was also completely redesigned allowing for a luxurious, relaxing lounge. All guests of the Hartford Wing are serviced by the resorts’ iconic butlers who assist with every need and whim.
New Beachfront Pool, Bar & Grill
Perched above never-ending views of the iconic white sand beaches and aqua waves of the Caribbean Sea is the new 125-foot-long, beachfront, infinity-edge pool at One&Only Ocean Club. Complimentary pool amenities will be offered hourly by the Pool Concierge team, including tasty treats such as house-made lollipops and refreshing spritzers. Alongside the new pool is the brand new Ocean Pool Grill. Helmed by Resort Executive Chef Gal Kozer, guests can indulge on classic pool-side fare without leaving the comfort of their beachfront daybed – from the freshest hand-picked local and imported ingredients, to a variety of family-style sharing platters including a Fresh Seafood Platter with James River Oysters, Local Lobster, Florida Stone Crab, Prawns and Tuna Sashimi.
Additional menu highlights include local Bahamian seafood specialties such as Spiny Lobster with Herbed Butter and more. The Ocean Pool Grill’s cocktail menu is replete with craft cocktails incorporating local ingredients that deliver a truly Bahamian experience – such as the Decadencewith Nassau Royale, Bombay sapphire and cinnamon infused coconut water. Progressive barrel-aged Negroni cocktails are also available. Live pool-side entertainment will celebrate the change of day and spectacular sunset Thursday - Saturday evenings from 5pm -7pm.
