Re: There Is No Government In Niger State

The above statement is from the opposition party leader in Niger state, Engr. A.A. Kure during the Peoples' Democratic Party's event held at the party's secretariat in Minna.

We thank Kure for his effort for the state, but I will like to make it categorically clear that Kure is the architect of the entire political, social, administrative and infrastructural that has eaten deep into the political bones, marrow and fiber of the entire Niger State.

He created Zoning and we are paying dearly for it. When the Governorship candidate of the 2007 was zoned to Zone B, Kure clandestinely and mischievously sabotaged the interest of the majority by imposing a kamuku man from Kagara emirate in person of late Bala Gunna.

This led to various frictions that saw to the emergence of a very strong opposition party, the Action Congress, that fielded one of the PDP governatorial candidate, Alhaji Isah Ladan as it's Governorship candidate, we all knew what happened. The rest is history.

As an unrepentant advocate of Zoning, former Minister of commerce, Engr. Mustafa Bello came out to challenge the alleged mal-administration and lack of leadership direction of Governor Kure under the platform of Peoples' Redemption Party, PRP to challenge Kure's second term bid in 2003. The grassroot Kontagora born Engr. Mustafa Bello gave Kure a big fight and the rest is history.

Considering all this Political recklessness and deadly virus injected into the political system of Niger state by former Governor Kure of Niger State, where does he wants the present Government of Abubakar Sani Bello to start from, I mean how does Kure think Governor Bello since assumption of office in May 2015 can perform 'miracle' to ensure 24hours supply of water, educational infrastructure, workable health system etc. That hitherto neglected by Kure's administration.

In fact, what legacy can Kure boost of apart from his Zoned University in Lapai despite the abandoned space area availability of infrastructure to accommodate it in Minna. Dear Kure, even the Justice Legbo Kutigi Conference Centre you started, Lapai -Gulu road amongst others were completed by Governor Mu'azu.

If not for selfish and political propaganda, how does Kure and the fading PDP thinks Governor Abubakar Sani Bello and the APC can clean the 16years mess they created in 5months ?

Finally, which among the sectors can Kure confidently boost of in Niger state; Agricultural, Health, Education, Tourism, Environment et all or is Kure telling Nigerlites that the alledged 4billion Naira, he budgeted for his 'Imagined' oil discovery in Bida is an achievement?

Kure : Those who live in glass houses shouldn't be the host of game of 'Stone Throwing'. And Not from memory, "Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing".
