BREAKING: Senate Ends Plenary & President Buhari Didn't Send Names Of Ministers For Screening

SAN FRANCISCO, September 30, (THEWILL) – The Senate has closed plenary for the month of September without receiving the much-anticipated names of Ministers from President Muhammadu Buhari.

The President had promised to send the names to the senate for screening and confirmation before the end of September. Technically, the President still has till midnight to fulfill his promise.

There has been no communication whatsoever from the presidency with regards to the names of the ministerial nominees, sources at the office of the senate president told THEWILL at the end of Wednesday's plenary.

Nigeria has declared Thursday, October 1 a public holiday to mark her 55th Independence from the British.

The President Tuesday said he would also serve as Petroleum Minister and appoint a junior minister to the portfolio.
