Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. James Alix Michel, President of the Republic of Seychelles

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. James Alix Michel, President of the Republic of Seychelles.

They discussed critical issues around the recently adopted Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the key role of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) in the climate change process, and regional and international efforts to counter piracy.

The Secretary-General also expressed his appreciation for the leadership of the Seychelles on promoting the issue of the Blue Economy.
