Nigeria At 55: Delta APC, Emerhor Passes Vote Of Confidence On President Buhari’s Ability To Build Economically Prosperous Nation

All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State and its 2015 governorship candidate, Olorogun Otega Emerhor are optimistic that President Muhammadu Buhari and progressives across the country will take the nation from her present socioeconomic stagnation into a vibrant and prosperous nation that Nigerians will be proud of.

Emerhor in a congratulatory message to Mr. President and the good people of Nigeria, on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of independence said since assumption of office on May 29 this year, President Buhari has been extremely busy dismantling retrogressive socioeconomic structures put in place by past administrations so as to open a new page for transparency, accountability and good governance across board.

The APC Chieftain attributed the gross underdevelopment of the Nigerian nation to lack of visionary and proactive leadership of the past which opened several corrupt channels through which the God-given commonwealth of our people were mismanaged, misappropriated and corruptly dissipated.

The Independence anniversary message signed by Emerhor’s Director of Media and Political Communication, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe further asserted that with President Buhari in the saddle, Nigerians can now rest assured that their human, financial and material resources will be properly managed and prudently channeled towards productive ventures that will facilitate rapid economic growth and overall development of our nation.

The expected economic growth, according to Emerhor, will manifest in the restoration of our extremely decayed infrastructure, the return of peace and security and the enthronement of probity in the management of the public wealth across board.

He asserted that even in four short months, President Buhari is already winning the war on corruption, the biggest culprit of Nigeria’s underdevelopment.

Emerhor who is also the Vice Chairman of Standard Alliance Group and a national award holder of member of the Order of the Niger (OON) said the hope of our nation had been restored as it has pleased God to give Nigeria a second chance by keeping the country together as one in spite of high level insecurity and divisiveness occasioned by the 16 years of misrule by the defeated Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He opined that there is reason for Nigerians to celebrate our second chance and to provide all support to President Buhari in his onerous endeavour of rebuilding Nigeria.

Delta APC political family including State, LGAs and Ward leaders across the state also express their vote of confidence on the abilities of President Buhari to rebuild Nigeria, the statement added.
