Nollywood actor, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu, is unarguably one of the most sort after comic actor in Nigeria with his humours he create and ability to hold fans down who keep asking for more.

He is a household name in the industry but the actor sure has lots of stories to tell about himself as time unfolds. With the continuous kidnap and rituals alleged to be taking place in the country, not many know that this actor was once nearly sold to rituals.

Mr Ibu in a recently chat with a Ghanaian radio, Starr 103.5, disclosed that he was nearly sold to rituals in 1979, and they were bargaining for his head in a local dialect and he had to pretend as if he never understood what they were saying.

He stated that while they were negotiating for his head they made it look like they were pricing a Goat but he thanked God he was able to escape being killed.

“I was nearly sold for rituals in the year 1979. What happened was, they were bargaining for my head in a local dialect and they didn't know I understood that language and I also played along, I was following every word that they said about me.”

The actor stressed that while all this was going on; he stood there staring at them as he was not afraid. “I was not afraid, I was just there and I thank God for everything. God saw me through.”
