Company crowned Business Project Development Champion as an inspiring leading voice within the solar industry

Power Clouds Inc. ( http://www.powerclouds.com ) with the Zero Emissions Initiative has won the Solar Industry Award for 2015 ( http://www.solarinternationalawards.net/winners2015.php ) in the Project Development category for the second year running.

Power Clouds shared the honors with other key players in the industry such as Schneider Electric, Martifer Solar, Qcells and Trina Solar who were also awarded the prestigious prize as outstanding examples of innovation in photovoltaic systems, new materials and project development.

Give the opportunity each organization, public or private, to offset the environmental impact generated by their own products. This is the philosophy of the Power Clouds Zero Emissions Initiative ( www.powerclouds.com/index.php/zero-emissions-initiative/ ).

With the Zero Emissions Initiative, Power Clouds calculates the CO2 emissions that member organizations create to make their products. As Power Clouds continues to build and acquire renewable additional energy plants, it is creates credits sufficient to offset the carbon dioxide generated in the production process. Member organizations then receive a certification badge from Power Clouds that is applied to each product whose emissions were offset, this supporting their individual corporate social responsibility programs.

With a proven track record in project management, counting thousands of participants from many countries, and with operating solar plants in Romania and currently under construction in Japan, Power Clouds contributes to the reduction of global CO2 emissions every day.

Mr. Attilio Palumbo EVP Communication and Strategy at Power Clouds, who received Solar Award 2015 for Power Clouds, commented that: “Despite its brief history on the market, Power Clouds has shown itself to be one of the emerging leaders in renewable energy industry and winning this award again in succession is a great recognition of this and the level of innovation we constantly use to address this pressing global issue”.

“As the solar industry moves to the next stage, the challenge of meeting the demands of the industry is bigger than ever. In an industry that demands more efficiency, innovation remains at the heart of all we do. The Solar Industry Awards have been created to recognise the global PV and solar industry’s whole value chain and those people, products and services that will develop innovative manufacturing and product approaches that have the potential to change the way we live,” says Jackie Cannon, Director of Solar Publishing for Solar International and organiser of the Solar Industry Awards.

Power Clouds CEO, Roberto Forlani added, "The philosophy and underlying principles of Zero Emissions Initiative launched by Power Clouds are in line with those advocated by global leaders. Now we are awaiting the results of the 2015 Climate Conference Paris where, for the first time in over 20 years of UN Negotiations, the aim is to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate change. Power Clouds is ready to do its part and has launched a new global challenge that can involve ordinary people, companies and institutions alike.”
