PHCCIMA FIRST DEPUTY PRESIDENT, DR. EMI MEMBERE-OTAJI BAGS FELLOW OF THE NIGERIAN INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT (CHATTERED) AWARD

First Deputy President of Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji has been honoured as a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).

The award and presentation ceremony held amidst colour pomp and pageantry took place on Thursday 27th August 2015 at Shell Hall, Muson centre in Marina, Onikan, Lagos state.

Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji, medical doctor turned businessman is a 1983 graduate of the University of Lagos Medical School and has taken courses at the Lagos Business School. He is the Chief Executive Officer of a culmination of sister companies in the Elshcon Group. Elshcon Nigeria Ltd is a first choice and truly Nigerian indigenous company in the energy and marine services with focus on optimizing Nigerian content to create value while serving the Oil & Gas Industry.

He was a former commissioner for Health and also a Special Adviser on Privatization to the Rivers State Government. He was Chairman West African Glass Industry PLC and Director of Wetlands Health Services (Health Insurance). Dr. Emi Membere-Otaji is a Trustee – Marine Equipment Owners/Leasing Association of Nigeria and First Deputy President, Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA).Meanwhile Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce in recognition of the exceptional award and the need to identify with one of their very eminent and valuable member in a press statement had sent a congratulatory message which reads:

The statement further wished him many years of good health, profuse strength, awesome favour, amazing grace, wisdom, and many fruitful years of service to God and the people.
