LIFE EXPECTANCY NIGERIA'S 47 YEARS RATING UNACCEPTABLE, TO, FLP
As part of activities to mark 10 years of healthcare and business relationship with Nigerians, Forever Living Products (FLP), recently held an Awards Day and Cocktails in Lagos, Warri and Port Harcourt. In Lagos, the opener for the day was the keenly contested Miss Sonya Beauty Contest pageant. Six pretty girls who are also users of Sonya Beauty products spoke extensively on the benefits of using Sonya Beauty products, and the edge Sonya Beuty products have over its competitors.
The line-up were Miss Ossai Naomi Kelechi, Eluwo Elsie Nkem, Rachael Onuwa Ikekhuame, Okodugha Ibhade Sophia, Chukwuma Cecilia Mary and Omonigho Magdalene.
It was difficult for the panel of Judges among whom were Mrs. Susan Oyemade and Mrs. Justina Ekperigin, both Diamond Directors of FLP, to choose a winner because of the beauty and intelligence of the contestants. However, one person has to emerge winner, and the popular choice was Omonigho Magdalene with Ossai Naomi Kelechi as runner-up.
Speaking on Sonya Beauty products, the contestants stated that it slows down ageing. 'It ensures that the skin cells do not loose their moisture, your skin maintains its glow and wrinkles disappear. People believe that when you use make-up, you age, Sonya skin products has proved that wrong.
'The products make you look youthful and beautiful at the same time. It has sun screen. They also have vitamins, aloe vera, marine extract, they are natural.'
Pioneer distributors of Forever Living Products in Nigeria were recognized. Notable among them were Engr. Wale and Susan Oyemade, who were equally pioneer Managing Director and Deputy Managing Director. It was gathered that it was Mrs. Susan Oyemade who brought FLP to Nigeria in 1998, registered it as a company and it started marketing and distribution operations in 2000.
Other pioneer distributors include Mrs. Shade Taiwo, who was named as the first FLP distributor in Nigeria. She was the first person to buy a Combo pack of FLP products after the company commenced operations. Mr. Vincent Udoye, a Sapphire manager, who joined the company in 2001 was named by Mrs. Shade Taiwo as one of the early distributors who promoted the essence of the company's products.
The four Diamonds Directors produced in Nigeria so far were also recognized. They are Engr. Wale and Mrs. Susan Oyemade, Dr Clement and Dr (Mrs.) Mariah Idigo, Dr David and Mrs. Kikelomo Apeji and Mr. John and Mrs. Justina Ekperigin. It was also declared that Mr. John Ekperigin is Africa's Number one distributor.
In his remark, Managing Director of Forever Living Products, Mr. Cornelius Tay stated that Nigeria's life expectancy of 47 years is not acceptable to FLP. He also stated that children's nutritional deficiency is not acceptable and the company will work hard to ensure that more and more Nigerians improve their health status and live longer by taking FLP's natural supplements.
'If you are too busy to eat properly, take our supplements, that is where FLP comes in. we hope Nigeria will key into FLP and change these statistics,' he said. He declared year 2010 as 'Year of Success' for FLP.
