Local Hunter arrest three Boko Haram Members in a Village in Adamawa

In what is seen to be a reprisals attacks, a group of trained local hunters yesterday in Gulak village of Michika LGA have arrested three members of Boko Haram.

A member representing Madagali constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon.Emmanuel Tsamdu confirmed the arrest of the three insurgents as a results of a reprisals attacks earlier launched by the insurgents in Kulbagawa village where five people reported to have lost their life.

Hon. Tsamdu said the arrest was possible because of the training of 200 local Hunter who received the training and were recouped to chase out and pursuit insurgents in their hide out.

"The effort made by our youths yesterday is commendable as report reaching me they have arrested three members of Boko Haram in Gulak. The Local Hunters in Madagali are joining forces with those from Gombi areas to chase them (Boko Haram) out of our own territory". Tsamdu said

"The locals from Gombi seems to know the terrain and the hide out of this wicket people, their coming will equally boost the morale of those youths from madagali and other areas for the fight against the insurgents". He added

He praised the agility spirit of the Youths and called on securities agencies to join effort with them to bring an end the activities of Boko Haram in the entire North- East.
