Majek Fashek Undergoes Rehab In Abuja

According to report by Premium Times, Nigerian-born reggae singer and guitarist, Majekodunmi Fasheke, better known as Majek Fashek, has been admitted in a rehabilitation centre in Abuja.

Better described as the 'Rain Maker,' Majek Fashek has been at the centre of focus recently due to his ill health to the point of rumours peddling round that that the legendary singer was now begging to survive.

Though one cannot truly point at the nature of his poor state of health, but many have attributed it to the use of hard drugs, spiritual or mental problem.

Caregivers at the rehab centre, who preferred anonymity, said Majek was placed at the intensive care unit of the centre and is responding to treatment.

Meanwhile a fundraising campaign to save the reggae icon's life has been launched by a US-based musician and one-time Majek's band-mate, Monica Omorodion Swaida, seeking fans around the world to donate to the cause.
