Kogi Youth Decry Campaign Of Calumny Against Gov Wada

Ahead of November 2015 Gubernatorial election in Kogi State, youths under the aegis of Kogi Transformation Network, KOTRAN have decried the campaign of calumny mounted against the Governor of Kogi State by some 'faceless agents of darkness' who desperately want to reverse the positive trend of development that the current administration has brought to the state. They also declared their supports for the re-election bid of the incumbent governor Capt Idris Wada.

The spokesperson of the Association Comrade Maximilian Tashilani declared their support during a stakeholder meeting that held in Lokoja. In His statement ; "I will like to inform everyone of us that the youth in Kogi State have endorsed Capt Idris Wada to run for the second term. He said in the history of the state, Capt Wada's effort in managing the lean resources of the state is equal to none. Comrade Tashilani said the group’s decision to endorse Wada was based on his great achievements and also for being a true democrat".

"Gone are the days when frantic agitations and concocted tales will convince the voting populace. Anybody who who wants to contest should come out and convince the electorates of their sincerity of purpose and their track record of achievements as the Governance of our dear state has been elevated to serious business by the Current administration. It is no longer business as usual."

The youth said that the future of Kogi youths is secure in the hands of the incumbent governor whom they described as a vibrant, disciplined and result-oriented leader that the state has ever had due to many of his initiatives that have given hope to many young people. They also advised youth against allowing themselves to become tools of mudslinging and violence in the hands of these desperate elements.

The youth commended Capt Wada for his managerial savvy, noting that inspire of the current financial challenge, the governor still keep faith with the state's workers. One of the youths who reeled out Wada's achievements in the education which include the establishment of College of Medicine at the Kogi State University , health, roads and agricultural sector which include making the state the largest cassava producing state in the country, the rice production program and the expansion of Agro-business in the state stated that these achievements could only be sustained and improved upon by returning Capt Idris Wada for the second term.
