Borno Lifts 3-Day Curfew, Restriction On Vehicles Movement

BEVERLY HILLS, July 19, (THEWILL) – The three-day curfew and restriction on movement of vehicles imposed in Borno State in the wake of the Sallah celebrations has been lifted.

Announcing the lifting of the curfew and vehicles movement restriction on the State Radio, Sunday, the Deputy Governor, Alhaji Zannah Mustapha,said since the Sallah celebration was over, residents of the state should not be locked up in their homes and communities any longer.

He also directed the re-opening of all closed markets, motor parks, hospitals and schools in the metropolis, saying : “With the lifting of this curfew and vehicle restriction, residents can as from today (Sunday) move and carry out their daily social and economic activities from 6am to 9.30pm daily.”
