All Progressives Congress (APC) Chieftain and 2015 Delta Gubernatorial candidate, Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) has described the publisher of Vanguard Newspapers, Chief Sam Amuka as a highly resourceful media mogul who took the centre stage in print media to bring about responsible investigative journalism that has contributed immensely towards nation building, advancement of democracy and the birth of a new social order in Nigeria and sub-Sahara Africa.

Emerhor in a statement by his Director of Media and Political Communication, Dr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe said that Uncle Sam who recently clocked 80 years, looks extremely younger than his real age due to his pleasant disposition, warmheartedness and commitment to humanitarian services and absolute desire to continually serve our country, Nigeria.

He further asserted that Nigeria is in dare need of super quality men like the publisher of the Vanguard Newspapers to look beyond themselves and focus on industrialization and national issues, such that will facilitate the socio-economic and political rebirth currently championed by the progressives, adding that the standard of print media in the country was raised to its enviable status through the intellectual and financial commitments of Uncle Sam and few others.

Emerhor urged Uncle Sam not to relent in his efforts in joining positive forces with the government of the day and the progressives so that the Nigeria of our dream will gradually be unveiled in the process of time, particularly now that we have a responsible, focused and highly proactive President in the person of His Excellency, Mohammadu Buhari.

Oghenesivbe quoted Emerhor as saying that the Vanguard Newspapers has become must collections by policy makers, leaders, investors, members of the diplomatic community and indeed Nigerians as a result of the consistency in its overall contents, balanced reportorial style and sound editorial policy, adding that Uncle Sam and the entire editorial team are working round the clock to give Nigerians quality information on a daily basis, seven days a week for several years running and still waxing strong by the day.

Emerhor congratulated Uncle at 80 and prayed God to grant him long life; prosperity and greater wisdom to enable him continually contribute towards nation building at both national and regional levels.
