Hon. Segilola Congratulates Senator Bukola Saraki

It is my great pleasure to congratulate Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki (GCON) sincerely on your election as the Senate President of Nigeria NASS.

Your political leadership and struggle have developed throughout the years a close cooperation and solidarity on the common journey towards the greatness of Nigeria.

Today, in a complex nation governed by strong national interests and goals, we have for many years benefited from your good exemplary leadership, patriotism and commitments in addressing some of the crucial issues of our time. Permit me to reiterate, today is also about ‘Change.’ Not ‘Change,’ as the political symbol of the APC but change in business as usual.

Nigerians have finally come of age, this can be seen in the fact that despite the competitiveness of the NASS elections, the most popular and competent candidates were elected.

I urge the aggrieved members of NASS, to forge peacefully and almost-unanimously as a single and indivisible entity to move Nigeria to greatness. All in all, our eye must remain on the ultimate prize, the success of Nigeria for all of us. The nation has high hopes from the Senators, where are expected to play their part in the prosperity of this country.

I am confident that your leadership will further strengthen the traditional friendly relations between the NASS and Presidency which will further develop the benefit of Nigerians.

I wish You, Mr. Senate President, good health and every success. May the wisdom, understanding and compassion of God accompany and guide you in leading the 8th NASS.
