Tom Cleverley 'Having Everton Medical' According To Sky Sources

Tom Cleverley's prospects of joining Everton have moved a step closer with Sky sources saying he is having a medical at Goodison Park on Friday.

It is understood the 25-year-old midfielder has agreed a five-year contract with the Merseyside club.

The Basingstoke-born player spent last season on loan at Aston Villa for whom he played in last week's FA Cup defeat by Arsenal at Wembley.

His Manchester United contract expires this month and, despite taking to Villa over a permanent deal, it appears he is likely to return to the north-west to wear the blue of the Toffees.
