The African Network for Environmental and Economic Justice, on Thursday faulted the exclusion of civil societies in the appointment of ministers. It said that with this development there is no hope that the new set of ministers would be better than their predecessors.

The Executive Director of ANEEJ, Rev. David Ugolor, stated these in Benin at the national conference/role model achievers award given to him by the National Association of Edo States Students.

According to him, 'The Acting President is recycling the same old brigade politicians who are appendages to the ruling cabal. There is nothing to show that they would be better than their predecessors; we do not think that the present group of ministers would bring development.

'Why must the civil society be excluded from being ministers? For us, any political arrangement in which the civil society is excluded would not be in the good interest of the people.'
