Aasu Secretary General To Participate And Present A Paper At The 18th Biennial Confernence Of Rectors And Vice-chancelors Of African Universities (corevip)
At the invitation of the Association of African Universities (AAU) the Secretary General of the All Africa Students Union (AASU), Awaah Fred, will present a paper under the theme: “Curbing graduate unemployment in Africa” at the 18th biennial Conference of Rectors and Vice-Chancellors of African Universities (COREVIP) slated for June 2-5, 2015 in Kigali, Rwanda.
The conference, organized by AAU in collaboration with the Ministry of Education of Rwanda and the University of Rwanda (UR), is themed: “Internationalization of High Education in Africa.” It is expected to be attended by over 250 participants comprised, amongst others, of executive heads of AAU member institutions, top-notched African scholars, representatives of student bodies as well as representatives of sub-regional, regional and international organizations.
While in Rwanda the AASU Secretary General shall have a consultation with the representatives of student bodies present at the conference on the current situation in African student movement and how best to coordinate their activities and strengthen national student organizations.
